The Grotto Foundation guidelines have been developed to give our staff and board as much information as possible about your project and your organization.
The Grotto Foundation Grant Application form is based on the Minnesota Common Grant Application. In lieu of the Grotto Foundation Grant Application form, you may use the Minnesota Common Grant Application. Grotto will accept any application that includes narrative information that describes your organization and the need and purpose of the proposed grant.
In addition to sending the narrative information, please:
- Include a cover letter that introduces your organization and your proposal; makes a link between your proposal and the mission, goals, and objectives of the Grotto Foundation; and states the amount requested. Doublecheck to be sure that your project is a good fit.
- Type your proposal. If you must make a choice between using more space or using a smaller font size, please use more space.
- Submit one copy of the proposal without bindings or staples so it can be easily duplicated. Also, please avoid sending pages with printing on both sides of the paper.
- Submit all documents requested by Grotto. If a document is not currently available, please indicate when it will be available.
- If you have a fiscal agent, obtain the required documents from them and include them with your grant application materials.
- Submit a completed copy of the Application Checklist.
